All companies with 50 or more employees are required to have a whistleblower scheme.
The deadline to establish a scheme for companies with more than 249 employees was 17 December 2021 in Denmark and 17 July 2022 in Sweden. In both Denmark and Sweden, the deadline for companies with 50 to 249 employees is 17 December 2023.
No matter the deadline, your whistleblower scheme must comply with certain legal requirements – even if the scheme is outsourced to an external business partner.
